I’m Interrupting My Weekly Lesson…

“I’m interrupting this weekly article with a crass commercial.” Oh, there IS a lesson in here, and a really, really good one at that – but yes, I’m trying to get you to buy something. So pray for me.

Unless you’re living under a rock, you’ve gotten multiple messages from me about registering for a 2-day in-person seminar on how to get your MSP business to 7 figures NET (day 1), with day 2 delivering a lead generation blueprint using digital marketing. Why anyone wouldn’t want to get this information is beyond me – and not because I’m selling tickets, but because when I was starting out as an entrepreneur, the one area I was never cheap about was my education. In an interview, Warren Buffet said educating yourself was the single BEST investment you could make, because it cannot be taxed or taken away, paying dividends for the rest of your life. I concur.

As it stands today, we have 3 locations left, and one of them is SOLD-OUT, with the other 2 at 74% and 82% sold-out status; time IS running out. If you have registered, you can skip down to the lesson below starting with “Now, to a lesson.” If you haven’t registered, this is another nudge. Candidly, the information I’m sharing on BOTH days is weak links for MSPs that get in the way of substantial profits – so, unless you’re truly financially free and netting a solid 15% to 20% EBITA after paying yourself a fair market salary, debt-free, fully capitalized and growing at the rate of 18% to 20% YOY, you do need to be here.

Thanks to our sponsors, the tuition is essentially free, with a meager $99 ticket in. Yes, there’s travel – but you can’t tell me that tiny investment for getting a financial blueprint for profitable growth in a managed services business to net 7 figures is “too much.” If $99 breaks you, you ought to be willing to crawl naked over rusty nails and broken glass to get your butt here. You REALLY need it. Candidly, that’s why so many are struggling in our industry, never breaking the million-dollar TOPLINE number, making less than they could working for someone else – they’re constantly playing hooky from school, stubbornly and stupidly unwilling to invest in getting the information and skills they need to be an ENTREPRENEUR. They cling to their “tech” hat and insist they “can’t” sell, “can’t” do marketing, “can’t” hire people, “can’t” raise prices. As Henry Ford famously said, whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.

Now, to a lesson about all of this: You cannot expect a change in output (results) without a significant change in input. Expecting your business to grow profitably, your sales skills to improve and deliver more and higher-paying clients, your marketing plan to consistently produce a flow of opportunities, to know how to successfully recruit, manage and lead a team of high-performers WITHOUT an equal or greater investment into the skills and knowledge necessary to produce those results IS the epitome of stupidity and greed.

If you’re not a Producers Club member, one of the great advantages of attending is the ability to meet with, talk to and learn from these top clients who are growing and succeeding in business. And if you are a Producers Club member reading this, you know you should be attending everything, soaking it all in. You don’t have it “all figured out.” You know that, I know that. Why do you think the Orange Cone is our symbol of choice? If you’re smart, you’re always “under construction.”

Absorbing the lessons and information I’m sharing at this event (and in all things we do) is like eating a healthy diet. You may never be able to pinpoint the exact “meal” you ate that strengthened your immune system, prevented you from falling into “disease” or boosted your physical and mental capabilities, but it IS the SUM TOTAL of what you put in that delivers the output and results.

We need to be refreshed and reminded of the fundamentals more than we need some “new” idea or unique strategy; yet at this event I promise to deliver both. A healthy dose of business fundamentals in leadership, hiring, financials, strategy and marketing while simultaneously (on day 2) giving you the core “new” ways of using digital marketing to get leads and clients flowing in.
